In poker there is no regulating organization and the rules are passed down through experience and tradition.
Now let’s gain some insight into how poker is played. The game starts with each player betting that he has the highest ranked card. It proceeds clockwise wherein each player must either match the maximum previous bets or drop out. If he drops out he loses the bet amount so far. A player can increase the bet if he matches it. The round will end with all the players either matching the bet or dropping out. If one of the players drops out in any round of the game, then the remaining player collects the pot (the term used to refer prize in poker) and may choose to conceal or reveal their cards. After the final betting round, if more than one player remains in contention then the cards will be revealed and the player with the winning cards takes the pot.
Though, in the game of poker the outcome of these cards involve chance in the longer run it depends on the actions taken based on probability and game theory.
