All about overhead cranes

Overhead cranes are the big sized cranes that are used commonly in the construction sites. These cranes are the most common form of the cranes that are used for the movement of the heavy load from one place to another. These cranes have a huge height and can lift heavy loads with the help of the hook attached to it. The height of the overhead cranes gives it the advantage of movement of the heavy goods quickly at one go. These overhead cranes have a long mobile beam that can be moved in different directions. This beam is attached with hoist that ends with a hook.

The hoists are the wires that help in the pulling of the heavy goods. The overhead cranes are operated with the help of the machine which controls the mobile beam of the overhead cranes. The beam is long and helps in the movement of the heavy goods easily. These cranes have a capacity of more than 10 tonnes and can easily move the machines and vehicles. The overhead cranes are also known as bridge crane as they have a huge height and can carry the goods to a great height and make easy transportation of the heavy goods to distances.
